Above,top to bottom: My flight to Fiji on the morning of Jan. 4th at 5 am, Nadi International Airport,Fiji; I met many helpful people along the way, including Elisabetta, a Kiwi teaching in the U.K. who was on holiday in Fiji. We shared a cab to the beach and swapped travel stories; I crashed several resorts and took full advantage of free amenities, including water, baggage drop and towels, but not suntan lotion. I got quite burned despite hanging out at the Sheraton, Radisson and Westin hotels: A view of the golf course near the Westin hotel- the disparity between the resorts and rural Fiji was striking in cleanliness.
